Bananas İn Pajamas Amigurumi – Free pattern

Hello there, don’t you worry I’m not getting ahead of myself making toys from ABC shows for the baby already. This one’s a gift for a cute little girl who loves bananas in pajamas. For the first time, I’ve used knitting in amigurumi and I’m pretty pleased with myself with the way it has turned out. The pattern may not be ideally how a knit pattern is written, please bear with me and let me know if there are ways to improve it while I’m still teaching myself to knit.

Starting with the brown colored yarn,
Round 1: Magic circle, 8 sc
Round 2: [sc in the next 2 sc, dec ] * 2 times. (6)
Changing to yellow colored yarn,
Round 3: sc around. (6)
Round 4: 2sc in each sc around. (12)
Round 5: sc in each sc around.
:
Round 7:
Round 8: 2sc in the first sc, sc in the next 5sc. Repeat. (14)
Round 9: sc in each sc around. (14)
Round 10: 2sc in the first sc, sc in the next 6sc. Repeat. (16)
Round 11: sc in each sc around. (16)
Round 12: sc in each sc around. (16)
The pajamas are knitted as I’m unsure how to make neat vertical striped ones in crochet
Note: Each row is two knit rows in the same colour making a garter stitch
Note: In order to seamlessly change colors, I’ve followed the method clearly explained in the video.
Row 1. Cast on 15 stitches in blue, knit 15 stitches using blue
Row 2-6. Knit 5 rows of garter stitch alternating between white and blue yarn
In the last row, Cast off 9 stitches, knit remaining 6 stitches in white
Row 7. Knit 6, cast on 9 stitches in blue, knit 15 stiches
Row 8-18. Knit 10 rows of garter stitch alternating between white and blue yarn In the last row, Cast off 9 stitches, knit remaining 6 stitches in white

Sleeves:
6 rows of alternating white and blue in garter stitch with 10 stitches. Attach the sleeves to the shirt, hope the picture gives you a better idea as to how its done. I’ve used a piece of stretchy white fabric and sewed it to make crisp collar thereby hiding the crooked edges.
